Garry Hunt is our management training partner in London.  
Garry is an international business adviser and facilitator, with extensive knowledge
and practical experience with public and private sector organisations throughout the
world.  Originally an international scientist, member of NASA (JPL/CalTech), from
whom he holds 4 awards for his research activities, Garry Hunt has held many
appointments in leading UK and US Universities as a Professor of Atmospheric
Physics.  He is now Managing Partner of
Elbury Enterprises, a Visiting
Professor at the Ahlers International Business School, University of San
Diego, California, Kingston University Business School and other Business
Schools in UK & US, a member of the Global Advisory Board of the
Milestone Group (US)
who has held Executive Directorships positions at PA,
Logica Consultancy (CEO), ICL Group & Non executive Directorships with
Fleishmann Hillard, Sequent Computers, EDS, International Imaging Systems
(Silicon Valley USA), HW Group plc, Trustmarque plc, Access Conferences
International & Globebyte. He continues to work internationally & has an extensive
business network. In 2002, Garry received a Queen’s Golden Jubilee award for his
community activities.

These business activities continue to provide him with a wealth of corporate knowledge and
experience of business led information technology, telecommunications, broadcasting,
environmental issues & the associated human resource matters.  He continues to assist
national and international organisations, venture capital companies with mergers/acquisitions,
MBOs, floatations, fundraising, due diligence, financial performance, changing their culture and
working practices, and working with them to make best use of information technology to achieve
their business goals.

Groups & workshops. Through an extensive business network, Garry Hunt assists
companies with their business networking, facilities roundtable dinner discussions
and business events

Garry Hunt is an experienced communicator, a regular broadcaster on radio & TV
and keynote speaker.  In 1990 he gave the Jubilee lecture of the British Computer
Society. In 1992 received an ICL Worldwide Services award for his consultancy
activities.

•  He led an European Commission Delegation to India to develop trade links &
business partnerships & led workshops on European Indian IT activities (1994)
•  Participated in DTI Trade Delegations to India (1995)
•  Performed a review of IT Industry of Sri Lanka for EC (1995)
•  Served as an IT adviser to the Government of Sri Lanka from 1995-99,
•  Reported on Exporting Business Services by Developing Countries for the
Commonwealth Secretariat (1998) & IT related Trade issues with the UN (1998)
•  Government Adviser Indonesia (2000)
•  and to President & Government of Guyana (2001) on behalf of UK HMG.

Garry’s career has involved more than 30 years of working and with international
organisations, academic institutions and governments and especially living in the
US. He has extensive experience of US and advises staff members moving to the US
of the issues associated with working with US organisations. Also he advises staff
members coming the UK of the working practices in this country. Through his
network, Garry assists overseas companies in developing heir activities and UK
companies with their businesses in US and Asia.

Garry also has experience with the media through TV (ITN, BBC..), radio, public
meetings; a regular speaker at international conferences and Business Schools. He
is

•  Freeman of the City of London
•  Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists
•  A member of the Court of Cranfield University
•  
A member of the School of Technology, Kingston University, Industry
Advisory Board.

Garry has received awards for his research activities from NASA and the Royal
Meteorological Society, from ITN news for his media work and from ICL for his
business activities.
